Each Friend is crafted of 100% Australian sheepskin and they have no filler materials inside or out. Each comes packed in a soft and sturdy 100% brushed cotton drawstring bag! Sheepskin is widely considered to be hypoallergenic and doesn’t harbor bacteria. Flat Friends® meet both European and US standards for toys. From newborns to the elderly, sheepskin has been shown to have calming and therapeutic effects; the all natural material is naturally resistant to flame and static electricity, has excellent insulating qualities, and is widely considered to be hypoallergenic. Sheepskin absorbs sweat and is a great insulator, it also activates the circulation of blood, it contains lanolin which is a naturally occurring balm that is similar to the oils of human skin, and it helps sooth sensitive or inflamed skin. Another interesting thing about sheepskin is it is naturally resistant to dirt and bacteria. The same lanolin that acts as a soothing balm, also acts as a “cleaner” when sheepskin is hung in fresh air.
